About the speakers:
Christoph Haffter is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Basel and the University of Music Basel. His work focuses on aesthetics, the philosophy of music, and critical theory.
Marie-Therese Bruglacher is an independent curator working at the intersection of performance, music, and space. From 2019 to 2022, she directed the “Disappearing Berlin” program, a satellite project of the Schinkel Pavillon, creating temporary spaces for site-specific performances at diverse urban and sociocultural locations across Berlin.
Sarah Johanna Theurer is a curator and writer specializing in time-based art and techno-social entanglements. Her curatorial work at Haus der Kunst in Munich explores liveliness and other forms of animation—from living sculptures to generative music and machine learning.
Laure M. Hiendl is a composer based in Vienna. Their work explores digitality, acceleration, and demediation, and their aesthetic impact on contemporary art music. Hiendl’s compositions have been performed at numerous international festivals, and they collaborate with various renowned ensembles. They are also a professor at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
Bastian Zimmermann, publisher and curator, co-founded Musik Installationen Nürnberg in 2022 with composer Laure M. Hiendl. He is editor of the magazine Positionen – Texte zur aktuellen Musik, and will take over the music-focused publishing house Wolke Verlag in 2025 together with Patrick Becker. Zimmermann has also worked for many years as a dramaturge on a wide range of music theatre and performance productions. Since 2018, he has curated the series Music for Hotel Bars.
